Prof. Kevin Clark

Principal Investigator

Prof. Clark joined the Department of Chemistry at Tufts University an Assistant Professor in August 2022. He received his B.A. in Chemistry from Gustavus Adolphus College in 2012, after which he worked for one year in industry as an analytical chemist. He then began his graduate studies under the supervision of Prof. Jared Anderson, working in the areas of nucleic acid separations and sample preparation. After receiving his Ph.D. from Iowa State University in 2018, Dr. Clark was awarded the 2018 Beckman Institute Postdoctoral Fellowship to study RNA modifications in the central nervous system under the direction of Prof. Jonathan Sweedler at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Prof. Clark and his research group at Tufts University aim to improve the characterization of RNA modifications in the central nervous system and single cells by developing new materials and methods that facilitate sample preparation, separations, and mass spectrometry measurements of modified RNA.
